What a great opportunity to have you visit the website for Debra S. Wright, School Board Member District #6. I am extremely honored to be representing you on the school board of Polk County. It is very obvious that we face some challenging times ahead but I am convinced and as you begin to explore the website hopefully you will see that I am the woman for the job. Born, raised, educated and spent 29 years of my career in Polk County working through the Polk County School System. My experiences range from student, substitute teacher, music teacher, classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, adjunct professor, district level support person and consultant. I don’t want to be misleading with the job titles of the above because if it had to be done in a school, I have done it. If it pertains to education, I am the WRIGHT choice!
Service today is essential to me. I want no regrets, no unfulfilled purpose. The grave yard is full of tombs, murmurings, complaining, nagging, torment, pain, graves with books unwritten, plays not performed, songs not sung, regrets, appointments missed, places not visited, people not met and sadly there is no way to redeem the time. I have today and what I do with the time I have is really left up to me. Debra S. Wright is the choice for District Seat #6 – Polk County School Board.
